BL-Phytase Granule

Granular forms of the enzyme phytase are known as “phytase granules.” The hydrolysis of phytic acid is catalysed by the enzyme phytase. Many plant-based feed ingredients, such as grains, oilseeds, and legumes, include phytic acid, a kind of phosphorus.

To improve the utilisation of phosphorus and other minerals by animals, particularly monogastric species like chickens and pigs, phytose is predominantly employed in animal feed formulations. The principal source of phosphorus in plant-based feeds is phytic acid, which these animals have a limited capacity to digest and absorb.
Granulated phytase is frequently added to animal feed as it is being produced. The granules’ stability and resistance to degradation make them easier to handle and distribute uniformly throughout the meal.
